Arion for 3ds Max supports native network rendering through Autodesk BackBurner. Arion does not have any special requirements in this regard, so please refer to the BackBurner area in the Autodesk 3ds Max Documentation for further details.

The full version of Arion for 3ds Max is sold with an unlimited number of network licenses. This means that a user owning a full commercial license is entitled to render in all the slave computers of his/her network, regardless of how many computers he/she owns.

Since Arion is capable of using all the CPUs and GPUs in all the computers in the network, a tremendous amount of computing power can be at the user's disposal very easily. It is important to stress the fact that Arion's very flexible licensing policy, combined with the fact that it is possible to plug multiple inexpensive GPUs on each computer, offers an unprecedented cost-effectiveness ratio. In this regard, Arion is an excellent solution for highly demanding production environments and for studios doing animation.

Remark

Network rendering requires that Arion (and naturally 3ds Max and BackBurner as well) be installed, licensed and set up in all the computers in the network. The Arion installer must be ran in each computer, and the same license file must be installed on all the computers as well. Additionally, the Arion hardware settings must be configured properly at each station to make sure that network rendering will make proper use of all the hardware resources available.
